Analytics

Increased Performance

Our goal is to provide the best user experience and the right insights at the right moment. With this in mind, we considered your feedback to improve on the Analytics Dashboards generation time and enhance the usability.

After exploring various options, we decided to create a new and modern Architecture to support your requirements and advanced scenarios. You will discover a faster Dashboard generation time, as well as a real-time interaction ability when filtering and drilling-down on data.

With the upcoming releases, we will continue to add more features and new technologies into this area. Stay tuned!

Custom Dashboards support

Until this release, we could only enable access to Out-of-the-box Dashboards through Analytics. Now we've added additional visualizations and the ability to add extra data sources.

As an additional paid service, we can enable trends discovery and help you uncover underperforming films for your circuit with just a couple of clicks. What-if analysis is also possible.

Contact your personal Customer Success Manager to discuss business opportunities and custom Dashboards requirements.

Enhanced Out-of-the-box Dashboards

We listen and learn from your feedback. All Out-of-the-box Dashboards received a new look and feel while at the same time enhancing usability.

Top enhancements:

Forecasting Overview Dashboard

· Ability to filter based on Fiscal Year and Calendar Year. By default, the Fiscal Year is the current year and you can select any period from 2014 onwards.

· View Holiday and Public Events as an individual table as well as a visual indicator on each Running Week. You can better understand holiday impact on the actual performance and forecasting of each period.

· Enhanced Rolling Data and new KPIs.

Current / Past week Analysis Dashboard

· You can view data from the Current / Past Week on the same Dashboard as we merged the two data sets into one.

Events Overview Dashboard

· Ability to filter for Fiscal Year and Calendar Year. By default, the Fiscal Year is the current year.

· Discover trends related to Number of Guests and Profit for your events, displayed next to Number of Events per Period.

Distributor Report – chronological sorting on Timeslots

Currently, sorting of the Timeslot column is based on the Label of the Timeslot. You have the option to sort alphabetically by ascending or descending order.

Based on your feedback, we have enabled the option to sort chronologically by the time definition of the Timeslot. By simply clicking on the Timeslot column name, you can now sort in ascending or descending order.

Example

Assuming we have the following Timeslots:

Timeslot Label

Timeslot Definition (start time – end time)

M

09:00 – 11:29

M1

11:30 – 13:59

M2

14:00 – 15:59

M3

16:00 – 17:59

A1

18:00 – 19:59

A2

20:00 – 21:59

A3

22:00 – 23:59

N

00:00 – 08:59

When sorting on the Timeslot column, the films will display in chronological order based on the Timeslot definition.

Scheduling

Option to exclude Advanced Ticket Sales from daily Forecast

Advanced Ticket Sales are sales for future shows.

With this release, you will have the option to include or exclude actual Advanced Ticket Sales in scheduling decisions.

This option has an impact on Scheduling only when a Reference Day is set to Average Weekend. Based on the selected option, the daily Forecast displayed in Scheduling (under Admits or Profit Column) will have different values. Once sales close for the weekend, the numbers will no longer change.

By default, the option is set to exclude Advanced Ticket Sales.

Example

Assumptions:

  • Weekends are Friday + Saturday + Sunday

  • Current day is Sunday

  • We have the following Forecasting under Scheduling -> Expand Movie List -> Select 1 Film -> Film Details tab -> Per Show tab:

Results:

Forecasting for A1 Timeslot, including Advanced Ticket Sales, would be 14 Admissions.

Forecasting for A1 Timeslot, excluding Advanced Ticket Sales, would be 18 Admissions.

Based on your internal process, we recommend contacting our Support Team for selecting the best default option.

Ability to Generate Schedule when multiple shows start in the same Timeslot

With this release, Cinema Intelligence will allow schedule generation when multiple shows are pre-booked in the same timeslot. We have also removed from the screen the warning you were receiving in these situations.

Example

Assumptions:

  • Timeslot A1 starts at 11:30 and ends at 13:59

  • We have a constraint that two shows must start in A1, one at 11:30 and one at 13:45.

  • You click Generate Schedule

Results:

With this release, the schedule generates right away.

Before this release, you would receive the following message on screen: “Movie Fifty Shades Freed at 11:30 and Black Panther at 13:45 in auditorium 2 overlap or start in the same timeslot. You can readjust by moving one of the shows” and the schedule would not generate until the adjustment was completed.

Note: If multiple sessions overlap, you will continue to get the above message and the schedule will not generate.

Set-up Opening Hours on Auditorium level

We are introducing a new concept of Auditorium Opening Hours. This is useful for cases when one or more auditoriums in a cinema have a different opening time due to screening constraints or remodeling, for example. If all auditoriums have the same opening times, no action is required on your side.

How it works:

  1. Go to Scheduling

  2. Select one cinema

  3. Select Constraints

  4. Go to Cinema Opening Hours tab

  5. Select the auditorium with different Opening hours from the drop-down menu

  6. Set the Opening Hours and Last Show Time

  7. Repeat steps 5 to 6 for all auditoriums with different Opening Hours than the cinema's default Opening Hours

  8. Save or Save as default

Scheduling will consider each Auditorium Opening hours for schedule generation. In the daily grid, Opening Hours will display minimum of Opening Time and maximum of Closing Time.
