Analytics

"Next 4 weeks" Dashboard enhancement

In the "New releases coming next 4 weeks" visual we incorporated Box Office columns together with Opening Weekend forecasts.

The Opening Weekend is defined as Friday + Saturday + Sunday.

If you would like to only look at 1 week, a new Week filter was added on the top of the dashboard.

"Past Weekend Analysis" Dashboard - US Market release

Past Weekend Analysis provides a quick overview of the highlights of last weekend's box office, comparing country-level data to your own circuit data. This comparison allows you to analyze your circuit's market share versus the country at large, as well as compare and contrast averages per cinema and national averages. This dashboard also displays information on the film's weekend occupancy rates alongside insights regarding domestic box office performance.

Last month we released a Beta version of the product to a list of selected customers. Starting from August, we are ready to go live to all US based exhibitors.

Film Booking

Advanced Intermissions management

Starting with this release, you can define film intermissions independent from bookings. You can assign different values for film version, format, cinema or group of cinemas, and timeslots. An intermission is defined by start and duration.

Example of an intermission: For "The Meg" film, 2D format, on Hollywood Cinema, only for evening shows scheduled during the EV timeslot, all intermissions to start at film minute 40 and last for a duration of 10 minutes.

Intermissions are created for the entire lifecycle of a film, no matter the week of playing. You can change them at any moment and the updates will apply only for sessions scheduled after this moment. For example, if the intermission is updated on a film in week 2, the new values will apply starting from week 3.

  • Add intermission: BOOKING -> Film Booking -> open one Film Overview page-> Intermission section -> edit available options on screen -> click on + sign to Save.

  • Update intermission: BOOKING -> Film Booking -> open one Film Overview page-> Intermission section -> select the same configuration as a saved intermission -> overwrite required information -> click on + sign to Save.

  • View film intermission(s): BOOKING -> Film Booking -> open one Film Overview page-> Intermission section -> all saved intermissions will be available

  • Delete intermission: BOOKING -> Film Booking -> open one Film Overview page-> Intermission section -> click on icon under Delete column. You can delete only one intermission at a time.

When scheduling, the intermissions will be applied automatically for all impacted sessions. You can also view them under Expanded Movie List -> FILM SETTINGS.

On demand Custom booking report

A common request we've heard from you was that a list of all planned future film releases and which cinemas are booked would help in internal communication with other teams. To ensure we facilitate collaboration, we implemented a tool to allow us to create a Custom Booking Report especially for you.

Once the report is created, you can:

  • Access it from BOOKING, anytime, anywhere

  • Open access only to specific team members

  • View all booked films for future weeks only for booked cinemas

  • Download to Excel

  • Filter data directly on screen or group data based on available columns

  • Hide columns if not always required

Example:

Attention! Column availability is limited for the time being.

Are you interested in learning more about this option? Contact your dedicated Customer Success Manager and we will work together to fulfill your request. Fees might apply.

Scheduling

New setting for unmanageable times

Up until now, when we set unmanageable times, when your generated the schedule, you might miss sessions because we couldn't fulfill all constraints. Our new administration settings allow you to receive scheduling proposals where sessions could start at this unmanageable times, if there is no other option.

Example: Let's assume your unmanageable times are 5, 25, 35, 55. This means Scheduling will not create any sessions starting at any of these moments. But due to other constraints, the only moment to start a film is at 02:25 PM. Instead of dropping the session, we will display it in the Scheduling after you press Generate Schedule.

By default, this setting is disabled. Please contact our Customer Support Team in case you would like to update your settings.

General

Get newly created films in the same day

You are on Monday morning and you just receive news that you must include a new film in next week schedule. You go and create the film in your ticketing system. But how will you schedule it if it is not available in Cinema Intelligence?

From now on, you can start using the film without waiting for the next day and overnight import process. All you have to do is to open Scheduling -> select any cinema -> Import. After a maximum of 15 min, the film will become available in all modules.

Attention! This option is available only if Cinema Intelligence can get data on demand from your Ticketing system, through the import functionality.
