We are very excited to announce that as part of our October release, we have a preview of automatically including new film releases in schedules if a film forecast is created. You will be able to generate a schedule containing new film releases and bookings can become an optional part of the process. Sessions will be created based on Admits Forecast. Read more about this option in the below notes.

Here’s the complete list of October updates:

Booking Optimization

  • Data grid display enhancements

  • Booking policy templates with Min Number of Shows and Timeslots

Events

  • Save & Close option

  • Generate Offer button moved under Financial section

Scheduling

  • Generate weekly schedules with just 1 click of a button

  • Integrate New Releases Film Forecasts in the schedule proposal (preview)

Booking Optimization

Data grid display enhancements

Previously you would see 0 (zero) in all cells that didn't have any values. Now these cells will be blank.

Example: In the Last week section, if the film did not play, all columns will be blank (not 0) in both day and week view. If the film is playing this week, Drop % TW will be blank in both day and week view.

Booking policy templates with Min Number of Shows and Timeslots

A booking policy template can be defined using Min #Shows or Min Timeslots. Once the policy template is created by our Support Team, you can start assigning it to booked films in Booking Optimization.

Important ! Policy templates with Min #Shows or Min Timeslots are specifically built for Booking Optimization tool. They will be visible when adding a booking from Film Booking, but they shouldn't be used in this context.

Not using Booking Optimization yet? Reach out to your Customer Support Manager and we will be more than happy to set-up a demo.

Events

Save & Close option

When adding or editing an Event, you will notice 2 buttons on the lower right corner of the form:

  • Save and Close - saves the event and takes you back to the Events page

  • Save - saves the event information and you can continue editing. After saving a new event, additional options will be enabled on the form, so you don't have to leave the page to continue working.

Generate Offer button moved under Financial section

The Generate Offer button was moved to the Financial details section of the Events form. The button is enabled only after the event is saved.

Scheduling

Generate weekly schedules with just 1 click of a button

We are constantly looking for ways to improve the user experience and facilitate scheduling. Having this in mind, we added a new option to generate a full week schedule with just one press of a button.

Go to Schedule, select one cinema and choose Generate Weekly Schedule by clicking on the arrow of the Generate Schedule button in the lower right corner. Once the generation is completed, a confirmation message will pop-up.

You can continue generating a schedule for only one day by using the Generate Schedule button while the day of the week is selected.

Weekly scheduling is different than daily scheduling as follows:

  • Pre-generation warnings are not available. For example, you will not be informed about new releases without bookings.

  • If schedules can't be generated for some days of the week, a user message will display "Unsuccessful schedule generation for: [name of day(s)]. Please generate on day level and verify if any warning." These days will not display a schedule proposal and we recommend fixing the issues before attempting another generation. All other days will have the proposal ready for your review.

  • The confirmation message will contain information about all days of the week.

Integrate New Releases Film Forecasts in the Schedule proposal (preview)

We are excited to release this feature and facilitate scheduling of new releases based on Admits forecast.

With this preview we are supporting the following scenarios:

Important ! In this preview, Admits forecast numbers for new releases are not displayed in Scheduling. We are working to release this in the next product versions and provide you all required data to take the best scheduling decisions.

Please contact your Customer Success Manager to discuss which scenario suits you best and get the best results with Forecasting and Scheduling. Keep in mind that Forecasting and Scheduling modules are prerequisites.
