To ensure a film plays during exact timeslots, at an exact time or in a certain theater or theaters, a user can add or override a policy.

To adjust the drop percentage for a specific film, select the desired cinema from the Cinema Listing then navigate to the Expand Movie list either via the Scheduling View page or by double-clicking any new release in the dashboard.

Select the film that needs to be adjusted. Then select the Scheduling Constraints tab on the right-hand side.

If policies have already been attached when the film was booked, it will display the details in the grid. If a policy needs to be added or changed, select Override.

Override provides a drop-down menu with the days of the week. Select the entire week or specific day that needs to be configured.

The override feature also displays time slots.

A user can input an exact show time by selecting a time slot then simply entering the time in military format in the pop-up box below the timeslot.

A user can also select a minimum seat number to ensure the film plays in a theater of a certain capacity. The algorithm will place the film in the closest auditorium to the capacity a user chooses and if it's already occupied, larger. When set to 0, the algorithm will place the film in the smallest auditorium.

A user can also set an exact auditorium for the film to run.

The algorithm will take these terms as hard constraints. If the requested auditorium is occupied, it will drop the film (a warning will detail what films are dropped when generating a schedule).

Reset reverts to the original setting.

Add Constraint enables a user to split constraint settings across auditoriums if desired. Note: this does not create a second copy of the film, so the timeslots cannot overlap.

Once the film is configured, the new details will populate in the grid. There is no need to save as the film constraints will save automatically.
