What is a Booking?

A booking is used to define how a film will play at a cinema or set of cinemas. These parameters will be based on negotiations with the movie studios. Films are booked in the Booking module in Cinema Intelligence, or if the user is a Vista customer set up with Vista Film Programming, via the holdover sheet in Vista.

In the Scheduling module, policies are used to help users comply with the distributor agreements set out by film studios and bookings.

Where can a User see Distributor Agreements?

1) For new releases, a user can view distributor agreements in the New Releases section of the Scheduling Dashboard.

2) For holdovers, a user can view distributor agreements in the Scheduling Constraints section of the Expand Movie List.

How can a user verify distributor agreements?

To verify distributor agreements, simply double-click the desired film in the New Release section of the Scheduling Dashboard.

This will take the user to the Expand Movie List, which can also be accessed through the Scheduling View Page.

The left-hand panel will display films organized by playing, stopped, and events.

Under the Remarks section, a blue triangle will indicate that a policy is attached to the film. Hover over the triangle to verify if the booking details comply with the distributor agreement.

If needed, a user can override the attached booking policy in the Scheduling Constraints tab of the Expand Movie List view.
