Importing Data | Cinema Intelligence Help Center

This article details how Cinema Intelligence can import data from the user’s ticketing system. This data includes:

Film information like the film title and format.
Session data like tickets for films that have been open for sale and have tickets sold.
Admission and box office data for films that have already played.

Automatic Import

Data from the cinema's ticketing system is automatically imported overnight. A user can check to see the last import in the Scheduling Info section of the Scheduling Dashboard:

Manual Import

There may be times that fresher data is needed before scheduling (for example, a title was added to the ticketing system at the last minute and a user wants to ensure this title is in the schedule for the current play week). In those cases, a user can trigger a manual import from the dashboard by selecting Import on the top right-hand side.

This will set off a manual import that varies in time depending on the type of data. For updated box office information from the ticketing system, the import is instant. For a brand new film to upload (which needs to populate in our database warehouse first) it typically takes between 15 minutes to one hour per cinema, depending on how much data is being imported.
